Mauritius and Qatar sign a Memorandum of Understanding

In a communique published on 30 June 2021, the Mauritius Financial Services Commission (FSC) announced that they had recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (the Memorandum) with the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority.

The Memorandum establishes a mechanism for mutual assistance and facilitates the exchange of information between Mauritius and Qatar regulatory authorities.

The Memorandum will strengthen integrity, efficiency and improve supervision of cross-border transactions between Mauritius and Qatar.

As commented by the FSC’s Chief Executive, this will ensure “the good repute (of Mauritius) as an International Financial Centre.”
